Opportunity Description

YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough seeks someone with an interest in fundraising for a local charity that inspires the live of young people in their community. You will have good people skills, whilst working to a good professional standard. You will be able to demonstrate reliability, with a high level of organisation. In return, we offer ‘hands on’ work experience within a Fundraising Team. Your commitment will enable us to deliver key services within the organisation, enabling us to achieve our mission of supporting young lives to realise their full potential.

What is the role?

During your hours with us, you will be inputting in to the team in various different ways. You will be collating information, attending events on behalf of YMCA such as bag packing and other tasks. You will support the Fundraising Team in organising on going fundraising events to raise vital funds to support projects across the county that inspire young lives.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person that has some experience of working within a team environment. Alternatively, you may want to embark on a similar career, be it a change of direction, or as a student. You will need good IT skills, including MS Excel, MS Outlook and internet.

You will be someone who is non-judgemental, a team player, and who is self-aware with the ability to reflect openly and intelligently on your working practice.
